Can I have a trial lesson ?

Yes, the platform offers you the possibility to book a trial session.

 Your hours can be used at any time within a year.  If not used within a year time, the course fees will go toward funding the website

Indeed, the tutor provides all required resources. You have the option to switch tutors if they lack instructional materials. Teachers may use different materials because they all have different teaching styles. You can ask your teacher directly to show you a sample of their prepared materials.

Get in touch with your teacher right away if you wish to do so. They will schedule a new time for the lesson. Lesson cancellations are free of charge up to 24 hours prior to the start of the session. The lesson will be billed and subtracted from your remaining lessons if you cancel within 24 hours of the scheduled time.

Check your teacher‘s profile  to schedule your lessons according to  both the teacher’s and your availability. Additionally, your teacher will schedule your lesson on IOPARLA after you agree on a day and time. You must verify each Skype lesson on our website afterwards. Since your teacher is only paid after the lesson is confirmed, it is crucial to complete this as soon as possible after the class. 24 hours after the lesson, your teacher receives direct payment.

  1. Register as a student on the website by clicking “sign up” button and follow the instructions.
  2. Locate a teacher and get in touch with them directly by requesting a lesson. You can send a message to list your objectives out of these lessons.

The platform provides you with a filter option to better choose your tutor (according to nationality, hourly rate, spoken language proficiency, availability).

A reliable internet connection and a gadget with a microphone and camera are necessary. A smartphone, tablet, or computer can be used. For high-quality audio and visuals, using a computer and a headset is ideal.

Your session with your teacher is a 50-minute session that you can split up into 20 minutes for writing, 15 minutes for grammar, and 15 minutes for speaking practice. As an alternative, you could practice speaking for 25 minutes and grammar for another 25. Some students favor 50-minute classes that are solely devoted to grammar or speaking exercises.

Yes, we check each teacher’s credentials before allowing them to join our community. Our team conducts one-on-one interviews with many of our teachers, reviewing their experiences in-depth and providing them with specialized training in online teaching methodology.

Refunds

Do I receive a refund in case I choose not to continue sessions with my teacher?

Our policy dictates refunding students for all of their unused lessons if they are dissatisfied with their teacher’s instruction or the caliber of their lessons. There are two ways to get a refund: either get in touch with your teacher so they can make the request on your behalf. If they do not reply, click the “Refund “button or directly get in touch with our support team.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

In case of cancellation, students are eligible for a refund except when the next lesson is scheduled to begin in less than 24 hours:

  •  If a lesson is cancelled less than 24 hours before its start time, the student cannot request a refund for that specific session.
  • However, the student will still receive a refund for the remaining unused lesson hours.

These unused hours can either be:

  •  Used with another teacher on the platform
  • Refunded directly to the student’s PayPal account, if they prefer.

You can be refunded in form of a credit in the “Finance” section of your profile after the refund has been processed. You can purchase additional teaching hours with this money. Likewise, you must expressly request and justify a refund to be sent straight to your PayPal account; otherwise, your student account on IOPARLA will be automatically cancelled.

Payments

Are payments made on our website secured?

We guarantee payment security on our website to facilitate transactions. Every transaction complies with the European data protection policy and is safeguarded by SSL encryption.

PayPal is accepted by IOPARLA.

If a teacher asks you to pay them off-site, inform us right away! If you pay them outside the platform, you forfeit payment security, and both your account and your teacher’s account will be promptly deleted from our platform.

If you’re having problems getting your refund, try refreshing the page to see if the transaction was successful. If it still doesn’t work  after two tries, send a screenshot to support@ioparla.com via our chat feature or support email. This will enable us to comprehend the issue more rapidly.
